Säffles old water tower was built in 1914 and is approx 45 meters high. It was the architect Ivar Justus Tengbom who drew the Säffles water. He was born April 7, 1878 at Nynas farm in Vireda parish, died August 6, 1968 in Stockholm. His most famous work is the Stockholm Concert Hall and Tändstickspalatset. The water tower in Säffle is centrally located and at there is one of the more famous burial mounds, Olof Trätäljas high. Säffles beautiful water through its prominent feature of the skyline and has become something of a symbol for the city. In 1958 the tower was taken out of service and replaced by a new one. 2014 renovated the tower.
