The museum displays war events along the west border beginning with the Hannibal feud in 1644 up til the union dissolution between Sweden and Norway in 1905.
Eda Skans Museum is located in Åmotfors and depicts the history of the border between Norway and Sweden during the period 1644-1905. The museum collections include uniforms, weapons and objects from the barge "Kantinen" which sank in lake Hugn in 1808. Eda Skans was built in 1657 and over time became the most important defense construction against Norway.
